El contrato confirmaba la calidad t\u00e9cnica de la CASA, que pocos a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s se transformar\u00eda en la gran y casi \u00fanica empresa aeron\u00e1utica espa\u00f1ola nacional tras absorber a Hispano Aviaci\u00f3n, que no consegu\u00eda apenas ventas para su Saeta y deb\u00eda dedicar parte de sus plantas industriales a la fabricaci\u00f3n de electrodom\u00e9sticos.<\/p>\n<p>En poco tiempo, CASA estaba trabajando en los IRAN (Inspect and Repair As Neccesary, revisar y reparar si hace falta) de millares de aviones norteamericanos de todas clases: adem\u00e1s del F-105, F-100 Supersabre, F-101 Woodoo, F-102 Delta Dagger, F-104 Starfighter y C-130 Hercules, entre otros, pasaron por sus talleres. El paso siguiente ser\u00eda la fabricaci\u00f3n con licencia de un avi\u00f3n de guerra norteamericano, lo que se pondr\u00eda en pr\u00e1ctica con el Northrop F-5 Freedom Fighter (Caza de la Libertad).<\/p>\n<p>Era una parte m\u00e1s del toma y daca que supon\u00eda la participaci\u00f3n de Espa\u00f1a en la guerra del Mundo Libre contra el Bloque Comunista.
