El aplastamiento de la sublevaci\u00f3n, que se sald\u00f3 con una relaci\u00f3n de muertos de 1:100 (unos 500 entre las fuerzas francesas y unos 50.000 entre las malgaches, que apenas ten\u00edan armamento), requiri\u00f3 el empleo de aviones tra\u00eddos penosamente desde Francia, a 9.000 km de distancia. Una vez \u00abpacificado\u00bb el pa\u00eds, las fuerzas francesas emplearon bimotores Martinet, versi\u00f3n del Siebel Si 204 fabricado en Francia durante la Ocupaci\u00f3n, en misiones de Polic\u00eda Ind\u00edgena.
