Pero los brit\u00e1nicos estaban ya cansados del Imperio y deseosos de aprovechar sus libras esterlinas bien ganadas en concesiones mineras sudafricanas, plantaciones de caf\u00e9 en Kenya, etc., para pagarse a precio barato un descanso en las riberas del Mediterr\u00e1neo.<\/p>\n<p>Esa fue la primera oleada de turistas brit\u00e1nicos a las Islas Baleares, gente ilustrada que se pasaba a saludar a Robert Graves en su casa de Dei\u00e1 (Mallorca). Muchos de ellos fueron en Viscount en los vuelos de la BEA Londres &#8211; Mallorca. Otras rutas paralelas de la BEA llevaban se\u00f1oras de piel sonrosada que ped\u00edan tomates asados para desayunar a Corf\u00fa, Heraklion, Rodas o Alejandr\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e1s tarde, Ibiza se hizo famosa en todo el mundo como sede de una versi\u00f3n muy comercial del movimiento hippy que surgi\u00f3 en todo el mundo a finales de la d\u00e9cada de 1960.
