Ambos tramos eran considerados como peligrosos, aproximadamente 5.000 km cada uno gran parte de los cuales hab\u00eda que volar sobre pa\u00edses sin infraestructura apenas, y donde el control brit\u00e1nico era bastante tenue.<br \/>\nComo resultado se exigieron cuatro motores y una s\u00f3lida construcci\u00f3n totalmente met\u00e1lica, en este sentido el A.W.15 era un avi\u00f3n colonial protot\u00edpico. Comenz\u00f3 a prestar servicio en 1933 y sigui\u00f3 haci\u00e9ndolo hasta 1939, con un buen r\u00e9cord de seguridad.
