Tras el de Havilland DH.4, el Martin MB (luego NBS), el desdichado Barling triplano\u00a0y el Keystone LB.6, todos ellos m\u00e1s o menos palos de ciego o biplanos muy convencionales, aparece el primero de la l\u00ednea de bombarderos modernos: el Boeing B-9 y por fin el Martin B-10. Los siguientes ser\u00edan ya superbombarderos: el \u00a0B-17 Fortaleza Volante, B-29 Superfortaleza , B-47 Stratojet y <a href=\"http:\/\/aeropinakes.com\/wordpress\/maquinas\/boeing\/b-52\/\">B-52<\/a> (todos de la casa Boeing). El B-52 es todav\u00eda hoy la parte m\u00e1s importante de la fuerza norteamericana de\u00a0bombarderos.
