Jordania recibi\u00f3 algo m\u00e1s de 30 Starfighters a partir de 1967 \u2013los pocos recibidos antes de la guerra de Junio fueron puestos a salvo en Turqu\u00eda\u2013, que formaron en la RJAF hasta mediados de la d\u00e9cada de 1980. Se dice que algunas unidades fueron enviadas a Pakist\u00e1n (que ya ten\u00eda algunos Starfighters) para ayudar en la guerra contra la India de 1971. Jordania fue el \u00fanico pa\u00eds \u00e1rabe que recibi\u00f3 este avi\u00f3n.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>La carrera del Lockheed Starfighter F-104 en la USAF fue corta y poco exitosa, pues el avi\u00f3n hab\u00eda sido dise\u00f1ado exclusivamente para derribar bombarderos sovi\u00e9ticos en la estratosfera. Los bombarderos nunca llegaron, y el avi\u00f3n no serv\u00eda para regar con napalm a las guerrillas comunistas a ras del suelo, como se demostr\u00f3 durante su breve servicio en Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p>Felizmente para la Lockheed, la salvaci\u00f3n vino del extranjero, en concreto de las potencias vencidas hac\u00eda tan s\u00f3lo quince a\u00f1os en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. El ej\u00e9rcito alem\u00e1n o Bundeswehr (ej\u00e9rcito federal) necesitaba alg\u00fan avi\u00f3n para reconstruir su fuerza a\u00e9rea, y el Starfighter parec\u00eda una buena opci\u00f3n para impulsar la maltrecha industria aeron\u00e1utica militar alemana, por su relativa sofisticaci\u00f3n y su gran fuerza visual como s\u00edmbolo del poder a\u00e9reo (se le sol\u00eda llamar \u00ab<a href=\"http:\/\/aeropinakes.com\/wordpress\/archive\/misil-con-piloto\/\">el misil con piloto<\/a>\u00ab).<\/p>\n<p>La versi\u00f3n alemana, denominada \u00abG\u00bb por Germania, fue seguida en breve por otra para Italia \u2013 pa\u00eds que lo mantuvo en uso hasta 2004\u2013 y una tercera para Jap\u00f3n, que complet\u00f3 el n\u00famero de antiguas potencias del Eje.
