El Fairey IIIF era la versi\u00f3n colonial de un avi\u00f3n de reconocimiento para la marina que vol\u00f3 por primera vez en 1917. Durante la segunda mitad de los 1920s y primera de 1930s fue la m\u00e1quina\u00a0encargada de la polic\u00eda a\u00e9rea del oeste de Oriente Medio.\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nEl territorio dominado por el Fairey 3F se extend\u00eda por Egipto, Sud\u00e1n, Yemen y Jordania, mientras que su contempor\u00e1neo <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aeropinakes.com\/entrada\/civicraft\/tipos\/westlandwapiti.html\">Westland Wapiti<\/a> se encargaba de Irak y la India. En el territorio de Aden (en el actual Yemen) funcionaba el Escuadr\u00f3n de Bombardeo n\u00ba 8, provisto de 3Fs, que era el principal puntal del poder brit\u00e1nico en la zona. A finales de la d\u00e9cada de 1920 y comienzos de la de 1930 los Faireys fueron decisivos para detener los intentos de penetraci\u00f3n del Im\u00e1n de Zeid, al norte del Protectorado de Aden.<\/p>\n<p>En agosto de 1933, hubo un intento por parte de yemen\u00edes y zeid\u00edes (sic) de entrar en Aden para recaudar impuestos arramblando con ganado y rehenes. Tras algunas negociaciones, la respuesta del Residente brit\u00e1nico en Aden fue enviar un 3F a Taiz, con el siguiente mensaje para el Im\u00e1n rebelde: \u00abUna palabra m\u00e1s y le suelto al Escuadr\u00f3n de Bombardeo N\u00ba 8\u00bb (1), obteniendo la inmediata restituci\u00f3n de ganados y personas.
