Los vistosos tri\u00e1ngulos naranja son las marcas que indicaban la neutralidad de Holanda en la guerra entre Francia y Reino Unido contra Alemania.<\/h3>\n<p>La idea parec\u00eda formidable: crear una flota de <em>luchtkruiser<\/em>\u00a0(cruceros a\u00e9reos) capaces de destruir los aviones enemigos con un gran ca\u00f1\u00f3n apuntando desde la proa, de soltar una considerable carga de bombas sobre las formaciones hostiles en tierra y de defenderse a s\u00ed mismo de los ataques de los aparatos enemigos con su casi media docena de ametralladoras. En realidad parec\u00eda la versi\u00f3n holandesa del concepto franc\u00e9s del <em>multiplace de combat<\/em>, que result\u00f3 completamente fallido. Fokker, el principal constructor nacional, proporcion\u00f3 un avi\u00f3n bien dise\u00f1ado pero construido en parte a base de madera y tubos recubiertos de tela, algo obsoleto para la \u00e9poca. Tras muchos retrasos y dificultades con los motores, el armamento, los sistemas de control y <a href=\"http:\/\/www.waroverholland.nl\/index.php?page=fokker-t-v-bomber-t-5\">hasta el camuflaje con que deb\u00eda pintarse el avi\u00f3n<\/a>, tan s\u00f3lo nueve aparatos estaban listos el fat\u00eddico 10 de mayo de 1940, comienzo de la invasi\u00f3n alemana.
