Los veinte a\u00f1os siguientes funcion\u00f3 como la compa\u00f1\u00eda a\u00e9rea oficiosa de la CIA, prestando servicio en muchas operaciones encubiertas al mismo tiempo que funcionaba como aerol\u00ednea regular, con una red dom\u00e9stica en la isla de Taiwan y otra internacional que trazaba un arco desde Pusan en Corea a Bangkok, pasando por Tokio, Manila y Hong Kong. Hacia 1950 se puso tambi\u00e9n al servicio de las fuerzas francesas en la guerra que llevaban contra el Vietminh en Indochina. Su acci\u00f3n m\u00e1s famosa fue el aprovisionamiento de Dien Bien Phu usando Fairchild C-119 de la USAF pintados con cocardas francesas.
