La posici\u00f3n del avi\u00f3n entre \u00e1rboles y zarzas la hacen parecer literalmente ca\u00eddo del cielo, pero sin un rasgu\u00f1o. Calais estaba a unos 80 km del frente, que no se movi\u00f3 apenas hasta el verano de 1918 y discurr\u00eda de norte a sur desde la costa en Nieuport hasta Noyon, no muy lejos de Par\u00eds, pasando por los lugares donde tuvieron lugar las man\u00edacas ofensivas de 1915, 1916 y 1917 en lugares como Ypres, Neuve Chapelle, Loos, Vimy, Arras y tantos otros. El oto\u00f1o de 1915 fue el del <em>azote del Fokker<\/em>, cuando los cazas alemanes dise\u00f1ados exprofeso como aviones de combate barrieron del cielo a los aparatos de reconocimiento aliados.
