Hong Kong tiene 236 islas, muy poco terreno plano disponible para construir aeropuertos y, actualmente, una poblaci\u00f3n de siete millones de habitantes. A partir de la d\u00e9cada de 1960 sus tareas eran de polic\u00eda y vigilancia, detecci\u00f3n de inmigrantes ilegales, cartograf\u00eda y fotograf\u00eda a\u00e9rea, auxilio en emergencias, etc. En 1993 fue disuelta y sus activos pasaron al Servicio A\u00e9reo del Gobierno (Government Flying Service).
