A Tupolev Tu-124 from CSA, CeskoSlovenské Aerolinie, in the mid-1960s.

CSA was founded in 1923 as the state airline of Czechoslovakia (the S of CSA), thus being one of the oldest in the world. Absorbed by Lufthansa in 1939, it resumed activity in 1946 and was nationalized in 1949. Converted to the typical communist block airline, it acquired the sequence of standard Soviet passenger aircraft, including the Tu-124, a derivative of the Tu-104, in turn a Civilian version of the Tu-16 bomber.
